The CSI Hospital Bangalore was established in the year 1893 by the Zenana mission to cater exclusively to the women and children in the locality and was initially called the ‘Zenana Mission Hospital’. It gradually opened its doors as a general hospital. Over the years the hospital has been responding to the growing needs of medical care in the community and has expanded its services. It has evolved into a multi speciality hospital and worked in collaboration with the Narayana Hrudalaya and the Manipal hospital, Bangalore. At this juncture CSI, Karnataka Central Diocese is on the threshold to revolutionise its own practices in keeping with the need of the overwhelming scenario engulfing the world outside. The DCHC – a ‘ Dedicated Covid Health Centre’ was inaugurated and blessed on the 26 th of May. A service in response to the rising fatalities, to heal and to save. A 100 bed facility will offer its services to the immediate need of the Covid crisis.

Facilities to the DCHC is being upgraded to provide complete support to COVID positive patients and also keeping in mind that there might be additional requirements in the future to respond in case of a third or fourth wave.
